Engelhard Corporation has completed
its acquisition of Shuozhou Anpeak
Kaolin Co, Ltd., a China-based specialty
minerals company, for an
undisclosed sum. The acquisition
gives Engelhard a strategic base from
which to source its specialty mineral
technologies to Asian markets. The
acquired product lines complement
Engelhard’s high-end, calcinedkaolin-
based offerings to a wide array
of markets including coatings,
according to the company.
“This acquisition supports
Engelhard’s strategic intent to leverage
competencies in surface and
materials science with our demonstrated
application expertise to
enhance customers’ products globally,”
said Stephen D. Lux, group vice
president and general manager of
Engelhard’s appearance and performance
technologies.
